Russia: The Dutch brewer Heineken refused to confirm reports on Friday that it was planning to invest some US$40m to build a brewery in Russia's Sverdlovsk province in the Ural Mountains. Reuters reported Heineken spokeswoman Veronique Schyns saying: “"I cannot say more than that there was a press conference at which the governor of the region mentioned Heineken and a sum that he said we were going to invest. The comments are his. We have nothing to say at the moment. We are looking at Russia and exploring all possibilities and not just in the Sverdlovsk region."
