E-Malt.com News article: USA, MI: Kuhnhenn Brewing Company to expand by opening a new facility

Kuhnhenn Brewing Company has announced expansion plans. Their new 35,000 square foot building will be in Clinton Township, MI. It will be divided into production, packaging and feature a tasting room, ABC Action News reported on August, 21.

They have acquired a high-speed bottling line for packaging beer for the sale to retail stores. Production and distribution of the signature Kuhnhenn Meads will also increase. Distribution of keg and case product will initially focus on Southeast Michigan and expand to the rest of the state within the first year.

The facility is located at 36000 Groesbeck in Clinton Township, Michigan and it is projected to be operational in the first quarter of 2014.

The current Warren location will remain open with a full line of beers, and focus on the production of small-batch experimental brews, as well as an increased barrel-aging program. With the opening of the new facility, Kuhnhenn Brewing will hire additional 20-30 employees.

Kuhnhenn Brewing is consistently ranked in the top breweries in the world.
