Fat Head's Brewery issued a news release on October 17 announcing that it will open a brewpub in downtown Portland in mid-2014, reports Akron Beacon Journal.

"We're looking forward to introducing Fat Head's to one of our favorite cities," Fat Head's founder Glenn Benigni said in a prepared statement. "Heads up Portland!"

Fat Head's now operates a restaurant in Pittsburgh, and a brewpub and production brewery in suburban Cleveland. Award-winning brewer Matt Cole also has talked about opening a location in Columbus. "Bringing our beer to Portland is a dream come true for us. We love this town. Portland is like a brewer's mecca," Cole said in a statement.
