San Tan Brewing has launched the first of its four seasonal brews, RailSlide Imperial Spiced Ale, in 12 oz cans, Drinks Business Review reported on November 14.

Infused with some touch of ginger, cardamom and cinnamon, RailSlide Imperial Spiced Ale is developed in collaboration with Liberty Market. The ale's malt also includes two-row, roasted, white wheat, chocolate, Munich and caramel.

The company's other three brews include the Count Hopula Imperial Red IPA, Sex Panther Imperial Chocolate Porter, and the Mr. Pineapple Wheat Beer.

One of the ingredients and flavors in the drink is the Chai tea blend from Liberty Market, which features fresh ginger, nutmeg, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves.

Anthony Canecchia, the owner and head brewer, said that the original plan was to create the seasonal brew in 16oz cans.

Apart from launching the new seasonal brew, the company also opened a new distribution facility in the East Valley that will hold a 50-barrel system, which has a 1,500-gallon brewing capacity.


The company could receive up to $30,000 over five years.

Gustafson noted that the brewery's economic impact will be felt by neighboring businesses, including those in Village of the Arts.

"Any time you can bring foot traffic into an area, I think there's a lot of good financial opportunities," he said.
