| E-Malt.com News article: USA, MT: The Front Brewing Company expanding in Great Falls
The Front Public House in Great Falls has become a popular destination for beer enthusiasts and recently the company has been stretched thin trying to meet the demand for their popular brews, KRTV Great Falls News reported on January 14.
Now with the purchase of a new building in Great Falls, The Front is hoping to increase distribution.
The Front Brewing Company Head Brewer Travis Ziegler said, "This is the entire brewery that we have right now, so everything that we produce comes out of here, we are a little cramped for space right now."
"It leaves us not able to make some of the beers that people really enjoy here and people have come to like from here," said The Front Public House Owner Brandon Cartwright.
Currently, the Front Brewery distributes 60-70 percent of its beer, supplying nearly 60 Great Falls bars and restaurants and just over 100 other Montana locations.
With the purchase of a new building, they're hoping to increase distribution.
"The biggest part of the expansion I think is, it's going to allow us to really help keep up with the demand for the people that have given us great support, the bars and restaurants throughout the region, so we want to continue to make sure that we have the beers that they want and that they're selling," said Cartwright.
What this change means is the current brew house will now supply all the stouts and lagers for The Front Public House, which will use 10 brewing barrels.
The new building will brew all the mountain man, river water, and keep cool ales, among others for distribution from 30 brew barrels.
Cartwright said, "We don't want to have to pull any handles, we don't want to not be able to supply Mountain Man Strong Ale to bars in Augusta, bars in Great Falls bars on the Hi Line, places like that. You know these family run businesses and bars, taverns and restaurants have taken a chance with us and put our beer on and they're selling it well, so we want to be able to make sure that we are always able to give them beer. "
Expanding not only allows for more beer, but will bring new types of brew on tap.
"We are going to be able to do more varieties, more new one off type varieties and seasonal varieties that we haven't been able to do previously due to our space constraints and production constraints," said Ziegler.
The new expansion is set to be up and running by the beginning of April.
