In a rare example of a new brewery opening on schedule, Sarnia’s Refined Fool Brewing was launched on May 2, meeting the target originally announced a couple of months ago, Canadian Beer News reported.

Founded by “a group of teachers, creatives, blue collars, entrepreneurs, musicians and pastors,” Refined Fool opened its facility at 137 Davis St. to the public offering six beers – The Brouhaha Nut Brown, Joe Sent Me Milk Stout, Noble Oaf Rye Saison, Ripsnorter Vanilla Porter, Antique Peepshow IPA and Short Pier, Long Walk Double IPA – on tap for on-site sampling, and in growlers and 750 ml bottles to take home.

The brewery’s regular retail hours as well as details of a Growler Club and future brands will be announced in coming days and weeks following the grand opening.
