| E-Malt.com News article: USA, CA & OH: Greater Cincinnati considered as possible location for Stone Brewing Co’s new brewery
Greater Cincinnati is on the list of sites a California craft brewer is considering for a $31 million brewery project that would create 374 jobs, Cincinnati Business Courier reported on May 30.
Stone Brewing Co., the nation’s 10th-largest craft brewer, is looking for a site to supply customers east of the Mississippi River. It expects the site would create more than 120,000 barrels of beer and $100 million in revenue each year.
The facility would include brewing operations as well as packaging, distribution and administrative support. Other operations could also be added, including a tourist attraction with a restaurant and retail.
Clinton County officials are trying to lure the brewery to Wilmington International Airport.
A company spokeswoman said more than 200 site proposals were submitted to Stone Brewing but wouldn’t say how many were still being considered.
