Fraser & Neave Ltd., the 130-year old food-and-beverage company, reported that third-quarter profit rose 25 percent on higher beer sales.
Attributable profit rose to S$44.5 million in the three months to June 30 from S$35.6 million a year ago as revenue increased to S$622.1 million from S$587.7 million, according to a statement on August 8.
Beer experienced volume growth of 37 percent in the quarter and soft drink sales rebounded. F&N became primarily a food-and-beverage company after Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, Thailand’s richest man, spun off its property assets in January.
