Big Lick Brewing Co., Roanoke's newest brewery, is officially opening this weekend, roanoke.com reported on September, 15.

Big Lick is smaller than the majority of microbreweries populating the area and has a two-barrel brewing system.

Big Lick's owner Bryan Summerson, the former president of the Star City Brewers Guild, began renovating the space earlier this summer.

There are roughly six beers on tap and they will be rotating over time.

Pints, flights and growlers will be for sale.
