| E-Malt.com News article: USA, NY: Three Heads Brewing in talks to set up own facility in Rochester
Beer maker Three Heads Brewing is in talks to set up its own beer-making operation on Rochester's northeast side, Democrat & Chronicle reported on January 1.
Three Heads partner Dan Nothnagle said December 31 the business is eyeing property on Atlantic Avenue in the neighborhood of the Arts area, and is in talks with the city about building permits needed to renovate 20,000 square feet of space into a brewing and retail operation. However, Nothnagle said, no lease has been signed and Three Heads still is trying to raise the estimated $3 million to $4 million needed for the project.
Currently, Three Heads' array of beers are brewed for it by Honeoye Falls's Custom Brewcrafters and available at numerous retail outlets and bar taps around the Rochester region.
Three Heads launched in 2010 and "has always been about building the brand, then building a brewery once we get established," Nothnagle said.
