E-Malt.com News article: USA, VA: Bristol Brewery getting ready for opening sometime this spring

It was about a year ago that a home brewer in Bristol, Virginia entered and won an entrepreneur contest, WJHL reported on January 26.

Fast forward to January 2015, and they are preparing to open the doors of "Bristol Brewery" in downtown Bristol.

Just this week, owner Ken Monyak said the heavy duty brewing equipment was delivered to their location off of Piedmont Avenue.

The brewery has been under construction since December.

Monyak says the entire process is a dream come true going from a home brewer to serving an entire community.

"There is kind of a surprise that you get when people are happy when they drink your beer and they say it’s great, I've done that on a small scale at home just with a couple of buddies but now I'm gonna be able to do it for the whole town, and that's going to be really exciting for me," said Monyak.

Bristol Brewery has not set an official opening date but say they plan to open sometime this spring.
