| E-Malt.com News article: USA, WI: Lazy Monk Brewing to expand in Eau Claire, Wisconsin
On April 22 the Eau Claire Waterways and Parks Commission approved the conditional use permit for Lazy Monk Brewing to move its German-style beer hall into the old Charlson's building on Madison Street, WEAU reports.
Lazy Monk opened on Putnam Street in 2011, and owners say it's grown so much they need a bigger space.
"We've just been growing, the craft beer market is exploding around the country and we're very excited in Eau Claire because our tap room has been growing and our beer distribution has been growing and it's all about community and sharing that with our community," explains Lazy Monk owner Theresa Frank.
The measure goes to the Eau Claire Plan Commission next, then to the full Eau Claire City Council.
If all goes as planned, construction on the new location could begin as soon as June 1st, with the goal of opening by Christmas.
