Russia: In the first five months of 2004 Russian beer production increased 9.95% versus the same period last year. In 2003 the volume of licensed beer segment increased more than twice from 1.42 million hl in 2002 to 2.89 million hl in 2003. In the first quarter of 2004 licensed beer production increased 105%. This segment held 5.1% in the whole Russian beer market in Q1 2004. Premium beer production increased 33.87% in Q1 2004 versus Q1 2003.
