| E-Malt.com News article: USA, KY: Old Louisville Brewing Company to open in Louisville in October
A brewery called the Old Louisville Brewing Company is planned at the site of a former grocery store along West Magnolia Avenue in Louisville, Louisville Business First reported on June 15.
“This is a no-brainer to have a community tavern right here in the heart of Old Louisville,” said Wade Mattingly, who's transforming the space.
Mattingly plans to keep as much of the original store as he can.
When patrons enter the brewery, they'll be able to see the beer being made in the back of the building, the story said.
Mattingly hopes to open the Old Louisville Brewing Company in October.
Wade and James Mattingly were awarded a $22,703 loan in April from the Louisville Metropolitan Business Development Corp., known as METCO, to renovate the building at 625 W. Magnolia Ave., Louisville.
