New financial results show that alcohol sales were down slightly in Nova Scotia this past spring, Globalnews.ca reported on August 25.
The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation released its first quarter results for April 1 to June 28.
They show that net income was C$56.3 million, up C$1.3 million, while total sales were down C$0.9 million to C$143.5 million.
The corporation says the total volume of alcohol sold was down 2.3 per cent.
Nova Scotia wine sales were down 6.5 per cent, while all other Nova Scotia product categories experienced growth.
Craft beer sales grew 17.4 per cent to C$1.7 million.
