South Portland's first production brewery is open, WGME reported on January 17.

The Fore River Brewing Company on Huntress Avenue opened its doors on January 14. The brewery will be open 4 days a week, Thursday through Sunday. To start, it is offering 3 different beers.

John Legassey, who is one of three owners, says other local brewers and the Brewers Guild helped teach them how set up the brewery and make quality beer.
