The Ukrainian biggest malt producer Slavuta has declared a malt output rise of 11.2% in the first half of 2002, compared to 2001, Ukrainian News reported. The same source reveals that in 2001 Slavuta malt plant registered an increase of 104.7% in malt production up from 28,700 tons of malt produced in 2000. In fact, malt house Slavuta is able to produce 80,000 tons of malt out of 120,000 tons of barley per year.
