E-Malt.com News article: USA, WA: Redifer Brewing Co. secures federal approval, aims at spring opening

After a wait of more than eight months, a downtown Yakima brewery secured federal approval, the Yakima Herald-Republic reported on February 7.

The federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau granted approval to Redifer Brewing Co. in mid-January, co-owner Chuck Redifer said in a phone interview.

"That's a relief," he said.

Redifer said that he needed to secure approval from the state Liquor Control and Cannabis Board, but he expected to get that shortly.

In the meanwhile, construction for the brewery at 123 E. Yakima Ave. is expected to be completed in the next few weeks.

"I think March or April is reasonable," he said about a possible opening date.
