In Cincinnati, a city booming with breweries, a well-known one unexpectedly closed on Monday, August 7, WLWT reported.

After five years in business, Blank Slate Brewing Company, located in the East End neighborhood, is done with business.

The reason of the closure has not been made public yet.

Brew Minds, a platform rooted in the beer community, spoke to WLWT about the closing.

"The loss of Blank Slate is a truly unexpected blow to the Cincinnati craft beer community. Scott (LaFollette, owner) and his team were highly respected by professional brewers, looked up to by homebrewers and loved by craft beer fans across the city," said Tom Aguero, owner of Brew Minds.
