RED Restaurant Group's 811 Kitchen Bar Lounge, which closed in June 2017 for rebranding and slated to reopen that fall, has closed. The Cleveland location, 811 Prospect Ave., will welcome a Southern Tier Brewery Company brewery and tasting room, the Cleveland Jewish News reported on January 30.

Brad Friedlander of RED Restaurant Group said RED Restaurant Group abandoned 811 Kitchen Bar Lounge because it "didn't take off the way we hoped it would."

Southern Tier Brewery Company's brewery and tasting room, which opens in the spring, will feature Cleveland-specialty beers, along with already existing beers, barrel-aged products and sours.

Southern Tier Brewery Company has locations in Pittsburgh and Lakewood, N.Y.
