A new micro-brewery is coming to the newly renovated historic McCurdy building in downtown Evansville, TriStateHomepage.com reported on June 15.

Myriad Brewing Company is the vision and dream of Jamie Elliott.

"Well my husband and I have been working on this micro-brew concept for about three years," said Elliott.

The brewing company will be located on the first floor of the McCurdy building.

"Oh it's just a wonderful location right off of Riverside drive and it's also almost smack dab in the middle of where the Haynies corner entertainment district and where the Main street entertainment is."

Myriad Brewing Co will feature its own and regional beer.

"Well I think that is outstanding, said Evansville resident Barry Alder, "I think more business is coming with the IU Medical Center and I think there is room for everybody. We have all of the new businesses and restaurants and developments, 21 new restaurants in the last couple of years I'm looking forward to it."

Though the brewery will not serve food, Elliott says you can bring in outside food. The brewery also plans to coordinate with restaurants and food trucks.

Construction is already underway, it is expected to be finished at the end of summer.
