| E-Malt.com News article: USA, PA: Harris Family Brewery coming to Harrisburg soon
Three partners are bringing the state's first black-owned craft brewery to Allison Hill, Harrisburg, PennLive.com reported on July 4.
Harris Family Brewery plans to open an urban craft brewery in 2019 at Market and 13th streets in Harrisburg.
"Some people may look at it from the outside and think that it's run down or it's a rough neighborhood. It's not really like that, it's a lot of love in this neighborhood and we're going to bring out," Shaun Harris, co-owner of Harris Family Brewery, told ABC Channel 27.
The partners said they still have work to do on the property as well as obtain licensing.
They started home brewing small batches in Harrisburg.
"Yeah we're crazy alright, crazy about doing something new, something different something that would pop off and set us apart from the rest of the hustlers and entrepreneurs in our neighborhood," reads their website.
They list beers including Formula 58, an American White Ale; HF Lager, a dark lager; and Bando Black, a dark chocolate American ale.
Harris Family recently partnered with ZeroDay Brewing Co. on a collaboration beer called "It's Poppin," an Imperial Cream Ale. The beer will be poured at an outdoor screening of "Poured in PA" July 3 at Midtown Cinema in Harrisburg.
