Brewery news

A new brewery has opened its doors in Seattle off the Burke-Gilman Trail. Located at 3626 NE 45th St., Suite 102, in the Laurelhurst neighborhood, the fresh arrival is called Burke-Gilman Brewing, the Hoodline reported on July 27.

The taproom features indoor and outdoor seating, ample parking for cars and bicycles and a wide variety of brews on offer, including IPAs, ales, stouts and porters, per its website.

Look for beers like the 111 Mile IPA (made with local ingredients), the Burke Stout and the Saison Brevet, along with ciders like the Greenwood Blush and the Spire Pear. This spot doesn't have a kitchen yet for snacks, but allows you to bring your own food.

With a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new brewery is off to a promising start.

Alex E., who visited the new spot on July 23, wrote, "The brewery has a lovely wooden decor and great local art. The brewery is dog friendly and has amazing outdoor seating space with long communal tables. I tried the IPA and the Pale Ale. The IPA was delicious, and the Pale Ale was OK."

Yelper Gary W. added, “This is an excellent place as a stop over for bikers on the Burke-Gilman and for locals with children and dogs to hang out and have a few beers, for the adults.”

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Burke-Gilman Brewing is open from 4–10 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 4–11 p.m. on Friday, noon–11 p.m. on Saturday, and noon–10 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Tuesday.)
