Manhattan, Kansas-based Tallgrass Brewing Company announced on August 23 that it was unable to finalize a financing deal that would have allowed production to continue at the multi-million dollar Manhattan plant.

Manhattan news outlet MHK Business first reported the news on August 23.

A company official confirmed the development to 41 Action News on August 24.

The brewer cited changing consumer habits of drinkers consuming craft beer at taprooms instead of buying the beer at a traditional liquor store.

Tallgrass Beer will still be available at the Tallgrass Tap House in Manhattan.
