| E-Malt.com News article: USA, TX: Batch Brewery to start brewing at new location in early May
Batch Brewery officials announced on April 11 their new location in Austin will open this summer, with brewing to begin in early May, Patch.com reported.
Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches owners Noah and Josh Lit said their Batch Brewery location will officially open this June. All Batch beers will be available for purchase on-tap and in cans and bottles at the family-owned and operated kolache bakery, taproom, and retail craft beer shop, officials said.
"It was always a distant dream to brew our own beer until we met John Snyder," the Lits said in a prepared statement. "His beers inspired us to take the plunge. We added our good friend Heath Shuford to head up the IPA program and never looked back. We went with a smaller brewhouse to always keep the beers fresh, rotating, and only available in-house."
Leading the brewing at Batch Brewery is Head Brewer John Snyder and Heath Shuford, who will be spearheading the IPA program. Batch Brewery will focus on table beers, IPA's, barrel-aged sours, culinary beers, and sour IPA culinary table beers. The first releases will be a Cabaret Barrel Aged Saison, with honey and pink peppercorn, and a Hazy IPA.
Designed by Josh and Laura Lit, the brewery will be split into two sides — the clean brewing room and the funky barrel room (aka The BugRoom), the Lits explained. The BugRoom will be stocked with barrels, puncheons, old stainless steel drums, and any other cool containers they can age beer in. Once open, the brewery will open to the public for short tours.
Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches is located at 3220 Manor Rd. and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
