| E-Malt.com News article: USA, WA: Lost Canoe Brewing closes its doors to focus on Sound to Summit Brewing
For the past couple of years, Lost Canoe Brewing has operated two breweries in Snohomish, Washington, the Washington Beer Blog reported on December 2.
Just about a year after opening its doors, Lost Canoe assumed control of Sound to Summit Brewing in what is best described as an extremely non-hostile takeover. The owners of that brewery were looking to get out of the game and Lost Canoe, which is located right up the street, was happy to oblige.
Last weekend, Lost Canoe Brewing closed its doors to focus all of its attention and efforts on operating Sound to Summit Brewing. Here’s the announcement from Facebook:
3 years ago Lost Canoe was launched as a fun side-project that quickly snowballed and eventually led to purchasing Sound to Summit. For the last couple years, we’ve ran 2 breweries right down the street from each other and have ultimately decided to focus all of our attention in one place. Over the years we’ve had amazing brewers, bartenders, customers and industry friends that all made this possible. We cannot thank you all enough!
There is some good news in this announcement….
Lost Canoe Founders – your benefits will be transferred to Sound to Summit immediately.
Select Lost Canoe beers will stay in production and available at Sound to Summit on a rotating tap. Especially Peanut Butter Porter!
Any parties and events that are planned at Lost Canoe for December are still guaranteed.
Parties interested in purchasing the brewery turn-key or pieces of equipment should contact lostcanoebrew@gmail.com
Special thanks to every team member, founder, customer and all of our Snohomish, Everett, and beyond, brewery friends! This has been an amazing 3 years and coming to this decision was not easy. We hope to continue enjoying friendships and great beers with you all at Sound to Summit.
Come help us blow this place out on Saturday – Last Call at Lost Canoe Saturday 12-10pm! Cheers!
