Russia: Russian division of Glencore International AG (Switzerland) is to become barley export leader in 2004/2005. The division can become as well as one of ten leading Russian wheat exporters, reports Interfax, citing Nickolay Demianov, Clencore’s Marketing Department Director. As to him, Company has already shipped 50.000t barley into Saudi Arabia (an extraordinary tough grain market) and is going to raise its 2004/05 MY grain’s trade turn-over up to over 1 million tons. As earlier reported, Clencore has already exported wheat to Greece, Algeria, Iran, Egypt and other countries, Agro Perspectiva revealed.
