Sales of beer and quasi-beer in Japan dropped by about 3 pct from a year before in July, marking their first decline in three months, industry data showed.

Sales of canned beer products for household consumption fell by some 8 pct after surging a year before when people were drinking more at home amid the Tokyo Games.
