The Dutch company "Efes Breweries International B.V." is ready to purchase 100% shares of the biggest Moldavian beermaker S.A. “Vitanta Intravest”. The Dutch company offers 119.92 lei (8.61 EUR) per share, while the nominal share price is 25 lei (1.79 EUR). The company intends to invest about $17.57 million through ABN-Amro Bank N.V.
"Efes Breweries International B.V." is a subsidiary of "Anadolu Efes" (Turkey). Efes Breweries International B.V. is based in Amsterdam - Hollanda and was established in 1996. Efes Breweries International is a holding company established in Holland by the Efes Beverage Group for overseas brewing projects. The Group's internationally recognised brand, Efes Pilsner, will be produced and sold in the regions in which the firm is active.
Now, S.A. “Vitanta Intravest” is a portfolio investment of the American Fund “Western NIS Enterprise Fund”, which acquired the company in August 1998. Now the fund owns 85.59% shares of Vitanta Intravest and the company’s authorized capital stock values $7.98 million.
