E-Malt.com News article: USA: Brewers Association releases 2022 ranking of top 50 craft breweries in the US

United States’ Brewers Association released on April 18 its annual list of the top 50 producing craft brewing companies and overall brewing companies in the U.S., based on beer sales volume. Of the top 50 overall brewing companies in 2022, 40 were small and independent craft brewing companies.

“Breweries that managed to move up the list organically are often those that are adding incremental growth to the category,” said Bart Watson, chief economist, Brewers Association.. “Both beer and craft need to create new occasions and new beer lovers to find growth.”

Yuengling still holds the number one spot in craft brewing and has since at least 2014, followed by Boston Beer Co., whose volume includes Alchemy & Science, Angel City, Dogfish Head, Concrete Beach, and Coney Island brands. Sierra Nevada speaks for itself at 3, followed by Duvel Moortgat (Firestone Walk, Boulevard, Ommegang) and Gambrinus (Shiner & Trumer brands).
