After nearly two years, Atlanta-based New Realm Brewing Co. has opened in the Old Cigar Warehouse on South Main Street in downtown Greenville, the upstate business journal reported on May 10.

The brewery held its soft opening on May 8, offering cocktails with house made spirits, a wide array of brews and snacks. An early favorites was the Skategoat, a West Coast style pilsner offering a hop-forward flavor and aroma reminiscent of a West Coast IPA married with the crisp and light taste a traditional pilsner. Wings, meatballs over grits, and other small plates are on the menu.

The brewery will host an official grand opening on May 16 but is already open for business. New Realm Brewing is located at 912 S. Main St. It is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
