Brewery news

A popular spot in Portsmouth is going up for sale.

The owners of the Portsmouth Brewery said they are not reopening, WMUR reported on May 19.

The brewery originally closed after a sprinkler main went off, causing catastrophic flooding in the building.

Co-owner Peter Egelston said the price of repairs to meet city code would cost too much.

If the building is not sold, the assets, including furnishings and equipment, will be sold separately.

The Portsmouth Brewery had been in business for more than 30 years.
