| E-Malt.com News article: USA: Craft beer sales decrease 0.8% in 2023, analysis shows
According to the Chicago-based market research company Circana, during 2023, craft beer sales in the United States totaled €4.3 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 0.8 percent, with case sales falling of 4 percent. The year before, sales fell 4.7 percent and case sales fell 8.6 percent, FreshlyBottled.com reported on May 23.
Circana analyzed the sales data and also discovered which were the ten best-selling craft beer brands in 2023 and it was found that among the first places are several breweries from Colorado, California and Michigan, which shows that the western areas of The United States leads craft beer sales.
Breweries have focused their efforts on canned cocktails and RTDs with good results, although IPAs remain the top-performing style with a 46 percent volume share of the craft beer segment. The main driver of growth in the segment has been great-tasting complementary beers, such as New Belgium's Voodoo Ranger Juice Force Imperial IPA.
