As of March 26, 84% of the winter soft wheat crop in France was in good or very good condition, up from 74% on the same date last year. The share of winter barley crops in good or very good condition was 81% (70%), according to the state agency FranceAgriMer.

Winter crops are developing much faster than usual. Ninety-two percent of the wheat crop is already at the initial boot stage (38% on the same date last year and 62% on average over the past five years) and 94% (38% and 62%) of the barley crop.

Spring barley sowing has already been completed. 31% (19% and 22%) of the barley crop are at the initial tillering stage.
