Greene King plc announced on June 16 that, on 15 June 2005, 15,000 shares in the company were transferred by Kleinwort Benson (Guernsey) Trustees Limited, as trustee of the Greene King Employee Share Trust, to satisfy options exercised by employees under the Greene King Executive Share Option Scheme 1994.

As a result of the transfer, Michael Shallow, Rooney Anand, Mark Angela and David Elliott, who are beneficiaries of the trust, no longer have an interest in the 15,000 shares in the company. This brings the number of shares in the Company owned by the Greene King Employee Share Trust to a total of 289,483.
