Shepherd Neame announced on March 28 it is to sponsor Wings & Wheels 2006 at Dunsfold Park, Surrey in August. The spectacular air and motor show will be sponsored by the flagship brand from Britain's oldest brewer, Spitfire Premium Kentish Ale.
Up to 60 aircraft will be on display accompanied by 3½ hours of aerial demonstrations including shows from the Red Arrows, an RAF Harrier jet and a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight featuring two of the ale's namesakes.
On the ground there will be demonstrations from Grand Prix cars to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the inaugural British Grand Prix at Brooklands in 1926. Other vehicles from the sublime to the ridiculous will be on show; from vintage motors and super-cars, to cars fitted with aeroplane engines.
Motorcycle enthusiasts will have a chance to see modern and classic bike displays, plus a sprint competition between the world's fastest bikes.
Shepherd Neame's brand development manager, Charlie Holland said: "We're delighted to be working with Wings and Wheels as it promises to be a thrilling event for the whole family. The Spitfire beer bus will be there accompanied by some Shepherd Neame delivery vehicles from days gone by."
The event takes place on Sunday August 27, 2006 at Dunsfold Park, best known as the home of BBC2's Top Gear programme.
