| E-Malt.com News article: UK: Brewing broth back to Ipswich by a member of Campaign for Real Ale
A real ale campaigner plans to bring brewing back to Ipswich four years after the Toly Cobbold brewery closed.
Tolly Cobbold had been based in Ipswich, Suffolk, for 256 years when it was closed by Hertfordshire-based Ridleys who bought it in 2002.
Brewing for Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex was moved to Chelmsford.
Now Frank Walsh, a member of the Campaign for Real Ale, is planning to set up his St Jude's brewery in the town.
