E-Malt.com News article: UK: Carlsberg UK to quash rumours about closing the Tetley brewery plant in Leeds

Rumours are said to be circulating Leeds that the brewing giant was considering ending production at the West Yorkshire site, The Morning Advertiser posted June 30.

However, Carlsberg UK communications controller Gareth Roberts said: "There is no discussion about closing the brewery. In fact, we've just invested £25million in bottling and canning line and we believe it will form a central part of Carlsberg UK's future."

Roberts said it was not the first time similar rumours had circulated but added: "The investment shows our commitment to the brewery and its future."
