The issue of delinking wine and beer from hard liquor for tax and excise purposes is under consideration at present, the government has said, Hindustan Times announced August 04.

Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Subodh Kant Sahay said August 03 in a written reply in the Lok Sabha that a draft model had been prepared by an inter-ministerial group including representatives from states.
