E-Malt.com News article: Russia: SUN Interbrew to allocate RUR20 billion for investment projects in the next three years

SUN Interbrew has unveiled intentions to further invest RUR20 billion in its Russian business, The Russian Brewers Union announced August 10.

As a company statement has shown, the projected sum will be echeloned during the next three years and directed to investment projects, one of which was said to be the Irkutsk brewery plant which is now under construction. This project will cost the Belgium-based brewer EUR70 million.

Officials from SUN Interbrew in Russia said production is expected to start in Irkutsk in 2008.
