Guangdong Brewery, the Hong Kong-listed Chinese beer maker, has registered a net profit of HK$78.0m, in comparison with HK$32.43m net profit recorded in 2001. Meanwhile, Guangdong’s fell by 6% on the back of the results which came in below analysts' forecasts. A Multex Global Estimates consensus forecast had predicted a net profit for 2002 of HK$79m. Sales revenues rose from HK$543m to HK$593m.

Situated in Shenzhen in Guangdong Province, Guangdong Brewery Holdings Limited is principally engaged in the production, distribution and sale of Kingway beer mainly in Guangdong Province, particularly in Shenzhen where demand has consistently outstripped supply.
