According to the operative information, the decision about the barley export quotation was taken by the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers on October 12, UkrAgroConsult pointed out in its Grain Market report of October 12. Barley quotes were established at 600,000 t. The decision should come into force from the moment of its publication.
Ukraine’s barley exports increased from 858,670 t August 2006 to 1.172 million t in September 2006 (+47.9%).

Cash prices FOB as of October 11 for French origin barley were US$/t 179.31 (a daily increase of US$/t 5.72).
