Seeking to tap the rapidly growing beer market in India, UK-based Cobra Beer on Friday launched 'King Cobra,' a strong brew, in the Indian market, The Economic Times reported July 6.

King Cobra has a high content of alcohol, 6.9 per cent by volume and is priced at Rs 45 per bottle of 650 ml each.

The newly launched beer would be manufactured and bottled in India and marketed across the country, barring a few markets, the company said in a statement.

Cobra Beer is a UK-based company with operations in over 45 countries and has four production units with total capacity of around 4.5 lakh cases per month.
