Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. filed the best annual report in 2007 out of nearly 700 Midwestern public companies, according to the Chicago Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute, Bizjournals reported November 1.

A-B was selected as the winner of the 2007 award for the best annual report at the 17th annual Midwest Annual Report Awards competition.

Peabody Energy Corp. also was recognized with a top 10 finish.

The Chicago Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute works to advance the practice of investor relations and meet the growing professional development needs of those engaged in the field.

St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. (NYSE: BUD), the largest domestic brewer, manufactures and recycles aluminum cans and operates theme parks.
