Brewery news

Budweiser, a sponsor in NHRA drag racing since 1980, has renewed its "official beer" status as part of a multi-year deal with the series, making it one of the longest-running sponsorships in sports, St. Louis Business Journal published November 5. Terms of the deal were not available.

Bud will continue to activate with point-of-sale material, consumer ticket promotions, driver autograph signings and appearances, advertising at-track and its "Race the King" radio promotion in event markets, which gives the winning consumer a ride with driver Brandon Bernstein in the Bud Top Fuel car.

St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc., the largest domestic brewer, manufactures and recycles aluminum cans and operates theme parks.
