Brewery news

A delegation of Heineken, the fourth largest brewing company in the world, held talks at the Rechytsapiva brewery in the Homyel region on November 8, Naviny reported November 12.

As an executive at the Rechytsa-based company told BelaPAN, the delegation was led by Antonius Hakkaart, Heineken’s director for business development in Eastern Europe.

The executive would not comment on details of the talks.

Reports have it that Heineken earlier considered buying controlling stakes in the Belarusian breweries Lidskaye Piva, Syabar and Krynitsa.

Established in 1975, Rechytsapiva became partially owned by a Lithuanian investor in 2000. It has an annual output capacity of 5.2 million decaliters.
