Namibia Breweries Ltd., which produces Heineken beer for the southern African market, said first-half profit rose as much as 55 percent, according to Bloomberg, February 19.

The Windhoek-based company will publish results toward the end of March, it said in an e-mailed statement.

Heineken NV, the world's fourth-biggest brewer, and Diageo Plc, the world's largest liquor maker, own a combined 29 percent stake in Namibia Breweries.
