The first world brewer, Anheuser Busch, has announced recently that it had signed a multi-year contract with the National Football League. The advertising deal with the NFL’s television channel is for an undisclosed amount. The NFL Network will broadcast pre-season and NFL Europe games next year, although it does not show regular-season or playoff games. "We are delighted to welcome Anheuser-Busch," said Chris Fuller, NFL Vice President of Media Sales. "NFL Network will provide a vehicle to reach the large and diverse group that make up the NFL fan base."

Anheuser-Busch joins advertisers IBM, Fed Ex, Motorola, AT&T Wireless, Coors, AOL, Campbell's, Southwest Airlines, Damon's, GlaxoSmithKline, EA Sports, Sony Playstation and Dairy Management Inc.

NFL Network is the most widely distributed sports network at launch in the history of cable and satellite television.
