Brewery news

The Great Northern Brewing Company of Montana has launched its double hopped golden lager, Black Star Beer, in new 24oz cans, Drinks Business Review reported on March, 22.

The brewing company plans to distribute Black Star Beer 24oz cans throughout Montana, Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada, primarily at major national convenience stores.

Black Star Beer is a traditional European-style Pilsner beer made with both Bavarian Mittelfrüh and Czech Saaz hops and two row malting barley. The craft lager is hopped first in the kettle and then again before finishing to create a full bodied lager flavor.

Black Star Beer founder Minott Wessinger said consumers can get a lager with flavor available at stores conveniently located near you. It's the perfect way to introduce Black Star to consumers looking to try a new beer.

Black Star Double Hopped Golden Lager was first brewed in Whitefish, Montana at the Great Northern Brewing Company.

The new Black Star 24 ounce can is priced at $1.99.
