Estonia’s second-largest brewery A Le Coq said it ended the first quarter with revenue of 14.5 million euros and an operating profit of 1.6 million euros, Äripäev reported on April, 29.

The company said exports were up 73% and sales volume of beer was up 11% to 11.4 million litres.

According to CEO Tarmo Noop, the key to such good results was growing exports to Denmark and domestic sales growth.

“The exports projects that we launched last year are now bearing fruit,: said Noop explaining that the company is mainly exporting long drinks and cider to Denmark.

A Le Coq belongs to Finnish beverage group Olvi that reported 3.4 million euros in profiti n the first quarter.
